Each year, Farnham Round Table organise the Farnham Fireworks & Torchlit Procession. Starting in Waggon Yard carpark, you can purchase flaming torches to carry up Castle Street to Farnham Park. Once in the park there is a huge bonfire to warm your hands on, a guy competition with entries from local schools and nurseries, a variety of food and drink outlets, entertainment, and of course the fireworks. Farnham Fireworks & Torchlit Procession 2023 will take place on Saturday 2nd November 2024. This year’s event tickets and torches can ONLY be purchased online via the following link, we will not be selling tickets on the gates: https://farnhamroundtable.org.uk/events/fireworktickets/

Information

Farnham Park will be open from 5pm, with a Food Village for young families wanting to eat early. Stalls and food/drink vendors to be confirmed closer to the event.

Entertainment will be laid on throughout the evening, starting at 5pm, including live music. Acts and performers to be confirmed closer to the event.

The Reading Pipers Band will lead the torchlit procession from Waggon Yard car park, up Castle Street, and to the park entrance. Heading the procession will be the Mayor of Farnham, and the chairman of Farnham Round Table.

Timeline

  • 5.00pm – Park opens – Food village and entertainment: Hospital radio compere, Live music, Taiko drummers and fire performers!
  • 6.15pm – Torchlit procession – Torches can only be purchased in advance online, then collected in Waggon Yard car park where the procession will depart.
  • 7.15pm – Lighting of the bonfire
  • 7.45pm – Fireworks!!!

Entry & Parking

Entry to the park is available via multiple entrances. Folly Hill pathway, main car park (Folly Hill), Bear Gate, Upper South View, Wykeham Road, Bells Piece.

Driving to the event is discouraged. Parking is available in Farnham car parks however Wagon Yard car park will be closed, and Central car park is best avoided due to restricted access.
